김연아동영상 - World Figure Skating "Kim Yuna"At the 2013 Korea Figure Skating Championships, Yuna Kim scored 145.80 points to top the free skating portion of the ladies' singles competition and won the title with a total of 210.77 points. Kim earned 64.97 points in Saturday's short program to lead all 18 skaters, despite a rare fall early in the routine.
With Sunday's victory, Kim, 22, qualified for the 2013 world championships to be held in March in Canada. Kim has never finished off the podium in her senior career, which began in 2006.
Before a sellout crowd at Mokdong Ice Rink in western Seoul, Kim performed her free skating to a compilation of songs from the popular musical "Les Miserables." She started off with a clean triple lutz-triple toe loop combination to set the tone. She followed up with flawless spins and step sequences, and nailed more jumps the rest of the way to surpass 200 points for her second straight event.
Kim had scored 201.61 points to win the NRW Trophy in Germany last month, Kim's first competitive event in almost two years.
Kim Yu-na and Michelle Kwan will be the highlight of the finale of the 2013 Pyeongchang Special Olympics World Winter Games.
The two skaters will rehearse at 2 p.m. on Tuesday before they appear at the closing ceremony, which starts at 7:30 p.m.
Kwan has won five world titles. Since her retirement from the sport in 2006, she has been working as a figure skating commentator and a goodwill ambassador for the U.S. State Department. Last month, she married Clay Pell, a staffer at the White House.
Kim says Kwan has been her idol since childhood and inspired her to promote the Special Olympics.
There will be two parts to their performance. They will start by skating to Mariah Carey's "Hero," and then together with 18 disabled figure skaters from Korea and abroad to a medley of pop songs. The performance will last eight minutes and was choreographed by Canadian David Wilson, who has been working with Kim for eight years.
This is Kim Yuna’s video message prior to the 2013 World Championships
Hello, members of the E1 Orange Card. I’m Kim Yuna, a member of the national figure skating team.
I’ll probably be training hard for the World Championships or may even be competing there by the time that this video is aired.
To tell the truth, I am a bit nervous about competing at a big event after spending time away from competitive ice.
However, all the support that you sent helped me through the tough training.
I will do my best at Worlds to return the enormous support you have gifted me with.
Please continue to root for me.
